Congratulations to Alexandra Pasi, PhD, for being named a finalist for the 2024 Women Tech Award! As the VP of Data and Analytics at Zartico, Lexi leads the data science team as they transform massive-scale data into tools that destination organizations use to create stronger communities. Lexi and her team spends hundreds of hours each week discovering, designing, and testing methodologies — such as normalization and hot spot filtering — that turn the raw data we receive into destination intelligence our partners can use. Lexi's work driving innovation, testing new methodologies, and transforming big data into destination intelligence has undoubtedly inspired the Zartico team and tech community alike. #DataScience #WomenInTech

Partnership Development Manager at Heritage Corridor Destinations

Last week I was invited to speak to the LaSalle County Board's Tourism Committee to present county-level visitor research from our Zartico data. Zartico uses geolocation, spend, and lodging data to turn data insights into destination impact. I have recently given similar presentations to the Lemont Downtown Merchants Alliance and the Heritage Corridor Destinations board. It's so interesting to see the patterns and insights that emerge from the way visitors impact our six counties!

The Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism (ROOST) uses Zartico data to promote and manage visitation to more than two dozen towns, villages, and wilderness areas spread across northeastern New York. Recently, they kept asking themselves an important question — "What could our stakeholders do with this data?". To answer this question, ROOST has developed creative ways to engage stakeholders scattered across a broad geography. As a result, their innovative efforts exemplify the power of the first five community indicators identified by Zartico and Destinations International. Watch the video below to hear from Jasen Lawrence, Director of Digital Strategy at ROOST, and download the full report here: https://lnkd.in/gatfkF68

CEO @ Zartico | Data Science, AI, Technology

Zartico reached a new milestone this past month. It might look like a simple piece of paper, but what you see here represents countless hours of work and innovation by Alan Mullenix, PhD, Alexandra Pasi, PhD, and our Data Science team. Yes, we have filed our first TWO patent applications — which means we can officially use the words "patent pending" when we talk about Zartico technology! This huge step is about so much more than laying claim to an idea. It's about putting our money where our mouth is when it comes to transparency. By applying for a patent, we make our methodology part of the public record. We are saying — to the U.S. government and everyone else — that we stand behind what we do and believe it should be the industry standard. And we are just getting started. Want to know more about the innovations themselves? Check out our white paper, "Eliminating Hotspot Anomalies to Improve Geolocation Data Reliability," (https://lnkd.in/gHShjx7U) and our blog article on normalization (https://lnkd.in/gG3igwZW).
