Product Development Assistant (NYC)

Our Company: BCI Brands designs, sources, and markets nationally and internationally an extensive range of women's career, casual sportswear, and dresses. Their products are sold through all primary retail distribution levels, principally under various trademarks and under private label brand names. Our Product Development Team is looking for a candidate who is technology savvy to work within a fast-paced clothing design department.

Role: We are seeking a candidate who is technology savvy to work within a fast-paced clothing design department. This position works within a creative environment, and the responsibilities of this candidate involved collecting and organizing information about products that are developed, entering the information into our PLM system and tracking the maturation of the information related to each product. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with designers and fabric, trim, production and sales departments to collect and organize information associated with designs being developed/sold, and enter the product design information in an organized way into our PLM system
• Update the design data in our PLM system after market in a timely manner, coordinating between design, sales, fabric, trim and production departments to ensure all details are correct
  
  
  

Requirements

• 2 years' experience in apparel product development/design environment preferred
• Familiarity with and exposure to PLM system preferred
• Proficient in Excel
• Team player with good communication skills
• Ability to collect data from various sources and organize it into a structured format
• BA in fashion design preferred but not required
• Self-motivated, problem solver with a flexible attitude

The salary range for this full-time, non-exempt role is between $60-75k dependent upon experience.
