Job Description

The Director, Commerical Planning and Operations is responsible for product launch coordination and point of sale merchandising spend (POSM) from beginning-to-end. This individual will pressure test and challenge POSM forecast and consumption to improve accuracy and optimize inventory, while partnering with Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance teams. This individual with provide the necessary follow up to ensure forecast and shipping accuracy, working closely with the Account Management team and providing critical reconciliation affecting the P&L. This is a cross-functional role, liaising with Marketing, Sales, Account Planning, Public Relations, Visual Merchandising, Finance and Supply Chain departments.

This full-time position will be based in New York and will be a part of the Commercial Planning and Operations, North America team. This role plays an important role in the culture and vision of Parfums Christian Dior, NA.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

  • Oversees end-to-end launch planning (from early forecasts to post-launch performance assessment) and POSM
  • Coordinate 360° planning and execution of launch programs, including consolidating forecasts, launch quantities, budgets, POSM, and account-specific strategies & activations
  • Liaise with all relevant internal teams (e.g., Dior.com, Marketing, Events) to ensure seamless completion of launch check list items in preparation for launch date
  • Communicate regularly to ensure all teams are working together toward common goals (e.g., key milestones, timelines, and meetings)
  • Drive project management excellence by establishing key meetings, managing attendance, sharing agendas, pre-reads and meeting recaps, and identifying key decisions or conflicts to resolve outside of regular cadence
  • Manage go-to-market risks and issues, anticipate delays, find solution options and raise alerts to top management
  • Consolidate and challenge POSM forecasts from POSM line owners, ensuring forecasts are in-line with strategic priorities, budget guardrails, and forecast best practice
  • Develop strong working relationships with Marketing, Sales, Account Planning, Visual Merchandising and PR teams to validate accurate and strategic forecasts for new products and POSM, in partnership with Supply Chain and Finance
  • Drive inventory management excellence by leading monthly decision making on saleables and non-saleables
  • Set up standard and ad hoc go-to-market reporting as well as post-launch analysis
  • Follow up with teams to ensure the inventory leftover plan is being followed, including enforcing deadlines
  • Document lessons learned and evolve the launch and POSM processes over time (e.g., codifying best practice, leading post-mortem sessions with relevant teams)
  • Coordinate with IT on developing and/or improving the tools and systems involved in launch planning and POSM, including training teams and following up on usage
  • Establish and maintain strong and supportive individual and team relationships with cross-functional groups (Marketing, Education, Merchandising, Creative, Media, PR, and Finance) to enhance achievement of objectives; ensuring all are informed fully of milestones, timelines, and changes in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in sales operations or planning function with strong forecasting and budget experience
  • Ability to build and manage high performing teams
  • Strong analytical, oral, and written presentation skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Possess a keen ability to handle a multitude of projects at one time
  • Highly collaborative & passionate team player with a positive & professional attitude

LVMH Inc. uses the published salary range as a guideline to provide our employees with market competitive pay while allowing for flexibility to recognize and reward various levels of expertise, performance, and tenure.

While the published salary range is a good faith reflection of the targeted salary level for the position, LVMH Inc. reserves the right to pay outside of the published salary range of $150,000-$160,000.00.
