Regional Director

Reports To: Chief Operations Officer

Location: Remote

Salary: $125,000 - $135,000 / annually

Travel Requirement: 10%

The Regional Director manages and mentors a team of six or more Executive Directors who are site-based, senior leaders responsible for implementing the EforAll program model. As a manager responsible for the results of their direct reports, the ideal Regional Director will be a strong leader and communicator. The primary focus will be aligning strategy, systems, people, metrics, and management practices to drive organizational effectiveness and enhance the performance of multiple sites. As the point person, advisor, and supervisor, the Regional Director will monitor activity and hold the Executive Directors accountable for mutually established goals; the Regional Director will define clear expectations around roles, build habits around daily planning and long-term goal setting, and create a practice of sharing progress and checking in on commitments. To ensure success as we scale our organization, the Regional Director will have demonstrated experience with people management and external stakeholder engagement.

EforAll seeks a Regional Director who is adept at business management, is operations-focused, and is skilled in building accountability plans that result in community impact.

Key Responsibilities

Program and Operational Support:

Responsible for overseeing multiple sites, and monitoring the progress of programmatic, operational, and fundraising goals established in collaboration with the national office. Ensure alignment of local programs with organizational objectives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

  • National: Work with local sites to translate organizational strategies into actionable plans.
  • Local: In tandem with Executive Directors, develop and implement strategies for site-specific challenges.
  • Guide site leadership in the implementation of organizational systems to optimize impact and create efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams - Development, Programs, Operations, Human Resources, Finance - to identify and implement best practices in process improvement and professional development.
  • Analyze and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to identify areas of improvement, implement action plans in response, and mitigate risks.
  • Facilitate change as EforAll transitions and transforms through expansion, helping staff to adapt to new initiatives and practices.

People And Performance Management

Provide coaching and support to Executive Directors to enhance their leadership capabilities and effectiveness as people managers. Providing a supportive day-to-day leadership presence, the Regional Director is attentive to achieving consolidated goal.

  • Collaborate with HR and Operations teams to ensure capacity building and growth initiatives at regional sites are in alignment with broader organizational strategies and programs.
  • Implement performance management systems under the direction of HR to attract, develop, onboard, and retain top talent and drive high performance and accountability.
  • Establish clear and measurable goals for Executive Directors aligned with organizational priorities, systems, processes, and structures.
  • Develop and monitor project plans, timelines, and budgets and ensure timely and successful completion.
  • Provide structure for peer-to-peer learning communities to foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and agility across the organization and among the Executive Directors.

Collaboration And Stakeholder Engagement

Represent the National organization at regional events, conferences, and meetings to promote EforAll’s mission. Share regional team feedback, successes, and challenges to inform National program enhancements and operational efficiencies.

  • Partner with the fundraising team and Chief Development Officer to cultivate strong relationships with local donors, Leadership Advisory Councils, partners, and community volunteers to help site teams achieve fundraising goals.
  • Work together with internal teams - Development, Programs, Operations, Human Resources, and Finance - to streamline information sharing and reporting.
  • Encourage cross-functional teamwork to achieve organizational goals.
  • Evaluate the impact of key relationships on program priorities, fundraising efforts, and capacity building.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment by implementing inclusive management practices and promoting communication.

Skills And Abilities

  • High level of emotional intelligence to effectively coach and support executive-level staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Adept at building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Excellent documentation, time management, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing multiple sites or regions.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage operational activities and drive results.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel within the region as needed.
