Job Summary

The Regional Recruitment Manager is responsible for advancing Northeastern’s efforts to attract and enroll the most qualified undergraduate students residing and/or attending school in the South-Central region of the United States. Reporting to the Associate Director of Recruitment, this individual will design and implement an effective and comprehensive regionally-based recruitment strategy and evaluate applicants for admission into the Northeastern Global Campus Network. The strategy will include extensive regional travel to engage with students, families, high school counselors, community-based organizations, and other key stakeholders throughout the admission process.

This is home-based role and candidates must live in (or be willing to relocate to) the designated territory, with a strong preference to be based in the Dallas or Houston areas and occasionally be required to work evenings and weekends to travel regionally and attend on-campus events is required.

Responsibilities Include

  • Plan, design, and implement a data-driven, comprehensive, and effective regional-focused recruitment strategy that meets enrollment priorities and objectives
  • Review travel, recruitment, and admission data to analyze interest, potential market growth, and best serve the region
  • Travel throughout the territory to meet with students at high schools, community-based organizations, college fairs, and other college-admissions related events
  • Meet with, counsel, and inform prospective students, parents, and school counselors of Northeastern updates and admission information that is accurate and up to date
  • Coordinate and manage specific projects that contribute to, and support the overall function of the full admissions cycle
  • Collaborate with Associate Director of Recruitment to develop and brainstorm recruitment training discussion topics and resources
  • Manage weekly check-in points for the staff to share feedback and updates while traveling
  • Partner with Recruitment Function Group and Admissions Marketing team to review and provide feedback on recruitment materials
  • Complete a review of applications using specified evaluation policies and procedures determined by the leadership team
  • Serve as a member of the admissions and selection committee throughout review cycle


Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with recruitment programming, travel scheduling, and application evaluation
  • Ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds and be sensitive to multicultural and socioeconomic issues
  • Experience making compelling presentations to small and large groups
  • Demonstrated proficiency with various technologies such as admission databases/software (i.e. Slate), generating and analyzing reports and data, as well as mastery of Microsoft 365
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • The ability to lift and move recruitment materials weighing up to 30 pounds
