This was such an interesting project for the Studio 24 Ltd to be involved in. It's great to see this live and for such important research to be available. Well done to everyone who worked so hard on this project.
Uncovering the UK’s hidden arts and humanities research infrastructure In this new article for Wonkhe, The School of Advanced Study, University of London's Professor Jo Fox talks through mapping our little-discussed national arts and humanities research infrastructure: "Mapping the Arts and Humanities is an interactive map of arts and humanities institutes, centres, networks and facilities, launched last month. Featuring over 3,000 pieces of infrastructure that support arts and humanities research, the map makes it easier for users to discover and connect with research activity across the UK and know what is happening in their region and fields. The map has started with the hidden infrastructures of collaboration: but will move on in its next phase to map libraries, archives, museums and virtual resources. The project has become so much more than the map itself. It has become a portal through which we can evaluate the health of the arts and humanities research landscape, and it has raised wider questions about how we optimise support for research across the UK." Not wishing time away, but I'm glad it's almost 2024. 2023 has not been the best of years for many reasons. Personally life has been challenging, with some stressful and hard to navigate situations. Professionally, as many other agencies know it's been a testing time. But reflecting on all of this, there has been a lot of joy, at work and at home. Highlights include: - Travelling to San Francisco to accept a GAAD (Global Accessibility Awareness Day) Foundation Gaady Award for the W3C redesign project - Starting work with some fantastic new clients including Kinship, European University Institute, The Fitzwilliam Museum and His Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS) - Celebrating 11 years at Studio 24 Ltd - Improved health and wellbeing - Becoming a parent of a teenager (how did that happen!) 😍 I feel lucky to have such a supportive network around me, including my fantastic colleagues, and of course my family. So I plan to celebrate 2023 over the break and toast to what I know will be an exciting 2024. Happy Christmas all, enjoy. 🎄 🍾 🥂

Check out our single page accessibility review service
Web accessibility is all about making sure as many people as possible can use your website. Do you know how accessible your website is? Accessibility is at the heart of what we do at Studio 24 Ltd. By championing an accessible web, we help make sure that nobody is left behind. But we also realise making your website accessible can be daunting. That’s why we have put together a single page accessibility review service. The review is perfect for: - Digital Managers who are unsure how accessible their website is. - Content editors who want reassurance that they are adding content in an accessible way. - Marketing Managers who want to know that all visitors to the website are having a good experience. - Business owners who care about accessibility and want to make it more of a priority, even if they don’t know much about it. Studio 24’s accessibility experts will review your website page and: - identify where you have high-impact issues i.e. issues that are causing the biggest barriers to accessibility - explain the problem these issues cause for your website visitors - offer recommendations on how to fix them. We’ll give you the knowledge and confidence to tackle common accessibility issues yourself so you will see an immediate improvement on your website. An accessible website creates a better user experience for everybody. What an amazing evening last night at the GAAD (Global Accessibility Awareness Day) Foundation 2023 Gaady awards on behalf of Studio 24 Ltd. Well done to all of the organisers for such a special evening. I met some truly inspiring people, who are pushing those boundaries to make digital more accessible for all. For those who attended and were interested in Amplify, our open source, accessible starter kit for design and front-end development used on the W3C website project, you can access info at https://lnkd.in/eprDyXxS #Gaady #Awards #Accessibility #inspired #WebsiteDesign #W3C

I'm currently in San Francisco on behalf of my awesome colleagues at Studio 24 Ltd to attend the 2023 Gaady Awards, where we have won an award for the W3C website redesign project! The Gaddys are organised by GAAD (Global Accessibility Awareness Day) Foundation and celebrate projects where accessibility is built into the product development lifecycle for technology and digital products. #team #awardwinners #w3c #achievement

I'm really happy to share that I’ve obtained a new certification having completed the Realising Your Leadership Potential course with Your People Potential. This 12-month management programme is accredited by the The Institute of Leadership. The course covered a breadth of management and leadership topics, along with really useful and practical methods to implement in the workplace. Being a supportive manager really matters to me, and this course helped me develop my skills and in turn will no doubt, help develop the team. #newskills #management #leadership #leadershipmatters #learninganddevelopment

A fantastic project to have been involved in; something the team is so proud of. A real pleasure work with the CBM Global Disability Inclusion on this impactful and much needed tool. #project #work #inclusion #team
Studio 24 Ltd is a finalist in the Cambridge Independent Science and Technology Awards! We are nominated in the Tech for Good category for our work with CBM Global Disability Inclusion. When disasters happen (e.g. flood, earthquake, or war) people with disabilities are often among the worst affected and the last to receive help. The Humanitarian Hands on Tool (HHoT) and the Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction (i-DRR) Hands on Tool are two ground-breaking mobile apps to help people with disabilities access life-saving relief services during conflict, disaster, and emergencies. The tools are free, easy to use, fully accessible and the first applications of their kind. The tools are used by CBM staff, local partners and agencies including Oxfam, Care and World Vision around the world. We're really looking forward to the ceremony on Thursday 18th May where we can meet the other finalists and celebrate all the innovation taking place in Cambridge. I managed to take a little time today to self-reflect on the good, the bad and the ugly of agency life. A constant rollercoaster ride, with huge up's and sometimes sadly down's. Joining a supportive group chat this morning via the The Agency Collective, I met some amazing individuals who were there to share stories, support each other and offer advice. This morning reminded me of why I love working in this environment; the absolute passion of so many of my peers who work in this industry to do good. Celebrating the high's together, offering support & a friendly shoulder when needed. I think it's pretty unique and so refreshing to be in a community that genuinely supports each other. So to all of my peers and agencies out there, thanks for the support and inspiration. #work #community #inspiration #love
