This past May, Newton-Wellesley Hospital hosted its annual Volunteer Appreciation Ceremony to celebrate the commitment and service of Newton-Wellesley's dedicated volunteers. After the ceremony, volunteers gathered in the cafeteria for a reception with food and live music.

In collaboration with the Newton Park and Recreation over 55 program, Newton-Wellesley Hospital's Heart Health and Wellness Council recently hosted a "Walk and Talk" event focused on senior health at University of Massachusetts Amherst Mount Ida campus. Following the walk, Beth Keane, chair of the council, shared valuable information about stress reduction and its impact on health.

The Heart Health and Wellness Council partnered with Natick High School to train eight physical education teachers in hands-only CPR and AED, benefitting 1,600 students. Starting in the fall of 2024, students will be equipped with life-saving skills to combat sudden cardiac arrest.
