Imagine your life without a computer... We recently hosted an event at our store location on Seven Mile to gift laptops to members of the community who don't currently have proper access to high quality tech, but are in serious need of it. Many of the recipients were kids in the early stages of their educational journey. Not having access to a laptop or computer at home puts them several steps behind kids that do, and that just doesn't sit right with us. If that doesn't sit right with you either, head to the link human-i-t.org to donate through our website to give young people, on the wrong side of the digital divide, some of the same opportunities their peers have. #DigitalEquity #DigitalLiteracy #DigitalInclusion #DigitalDivide #InclusiveTech

📢 It's #EndDigitalPovertyDay! This day aims to shed light on the urgent need to end digital poverty and ensure equal opportunities for all 💻 📚Education, employment, healthcare, and social connections – all these crucial aspects of modern life heavily rely on digital access. However, countless people are left behind, unable to access the devices, digital tools and opportunities that many of us take for granted. That's why we urge companies with disused devices to donate them to the #NationalDeviceBank instead of disposing of them. Through device donations, you can help tackle digital poverty by helping digitally excluded people to access refurbished devices and get online through the National Device Bank. If you have disused devices, donate them to help people in need overcome digital barriers👇 https://bit.ly/3BbZXJz

🌐 Transforming Lives and Embarking on Our BCorp Journey 🌱 #BCorp #Sustainability #DigitalInclusion We're thrilled to share a heart-warming story from our collaboration with a local charity PCrefurb, a testament to our commitment towards sustainable practices and social responsibility. 🖥️ A recent donation from MBH Global, as part of our Sustainable IT Lifecycle Management program, has empowered an individual in need. By providing a refurbished All-In-One desktop computer, we've enabled someone to leap over the digital divide, aiding their return to employment. This isn't just about technology; it's about transforming lives. This success story is a stepping stone in our 'Journey to become a BCorp'. It exemplifies our dedication to not only environmental stewardship but also to building a more inclusive and equitable digital world. 🌍 In a digital-by-default era, access to technology is no longer a luxury; it's essential. By recycling and refurbishing IT assets, we are not only reducing e-waste but also bridging the gap in digital access. 🤝 We urge other businesses to join us in this endeavour. Utilize our Asset Disposal Services, which include free collections, to turn your surplus IT equipment into opportunities for others, while reinforcing your commitment to sustainability. Let's collaborate to make a difference. For asset disposal inquiries or to learn more about our journey and services, please reach out to us or fill in our booking form: [https://lnkd.in/e_RiRu-p] Your support can ignite change. Together, we can drive a sustainable future and close the digital divide. #TechForGood #CorporateResponsibility #AssetDisposal #EnvironmentalImpact #CommunityEngagement
This is why we do what we do... It was lovely to receive a thank you letter from a recipient of a refurbished piece of equipment. This gentleman was struggling to search for work and apply for jobs using his old Nokia phone. Thanks to a donation from MBH Global - Sustainable IT Lifecycle Management we were able to provide him with a refurbished All-In-One desktop computer with a mouse and keyboard. So much is now 'digital by default', whether that's shopping, paying bills, making appointments and, as in this case, getting back into employment. Getting online is essential, not a luxury and we're here to help. If you're interested in supporting our work, please look at our website. We constantly need donations of laptops and tablet. https://pcrefurb.org.uk/ #DigitalSkillsMatter #DigitalSkillsForAll #FixTheDigitalDivide #DonateIT

Omaha Community: Does anyone need, or have an unused, internet-connected device, such as a tablet, a phone or a laptop? Check out the DeviceConnect program at Metropolitan Community College’s Digital Express🙌🏼. I’d like to send a huge Thank You to iFixOmaha LLC for managing the program. Help us keep devices in use in our community and out of the landfill. All devices that are in good working order and that are refurbished quality will be redistributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Let us know what you need and we’ll match you with the best available product. Do you own a business and want to donate your old inventory? We will pick items up from you. Thank you for considering donating through this program- 👉🏼did you know that almost 16% of folks in North and South Omaha have ONLY a cell phone to connect to the internet. Your donations MATTER. 🙌🏼👏🏼 Any items that aren’t in good working order will be ethically recycled. Any part that can be used will be used again. Devices may be used for training purposes for students participating in our WISE Levels 1&2 certification bootcamp. If you have concerns about data destruction I completely understand. I donated my old phone today and watched the technician go through the data destruction process. I left comfortable that nothing remained on the donated device. The technician was friendly and, as always, patient and kind. If you have questions please ask below. 👇🏼 #digitalequity #digitaldivide #leaderslead #digitalaccessibility

⭐ It's not the season for giving gifts, it's the season for connecting. For many, a device is the only way to connect with loved ones during the holiday season. 💻 Your business can donate devices that are no longer used, such as laptops, mobiles and tablets, to help people who can't afford their own. Your donations would mean more people can connect with their loved ones so that no one has to be alone over the holidays. #FixTheDigitalDivide this holiday season. Donate devices to the National Device Bank ▶️ https://bit.ly/49Zkq4w

Have you got an old mobile phone or tablet languishing at the back of a drawer gathering dust? Would you be willing to donate it to a local resident in need? Ealing Council (London Borough of Ealing) has joined forces with PayByPhone and Computer Recyclers UK Ltd to collect and refurbish donated laptops, tablets and phones to help people in our local community. 👫🧑🤝🧑👭 Today, 270,000 Londoners have no access to the Internet and around 2 million have very low levels of engagement, which suggests they don’t have their own device or the skills needed to get online. Almost 20% of Ealing residents don’t have a computer at home. 💻 The scheme will support individuals experiencing digital exclusion by providing devices so that children can do their homework, young people can find jobs and older people can access healthcare and online banking. If you can help, there are lots of donation points to drop off unwanted devices and charging cables. 😁
