3 More Comedy Giants set to make you 'Roar with Laughter'

The Cambridge Roar, working with Cambridge Live Trust, are pleased to announce that the ‘Roar with Laughter’ event returns on Friday 16th September with comedy greats Mike Wilmot, Rob Beckett and Rich Wilson.

All three comedy greats have been seen recently on TV and Tour.  International comedian Rich Wilson is one of the country’s finest comedians and popularly regarded as one of the UK's best MC's by many top comedians, such as Frank Skinner, Richard Herring and Sarah Millican.

Rob Beckett, the Mouth of the South is back with a brand-new show of funnies and he is taking on the big issues like Kit Kats and flatbread!  Star of BBC1’s Live at the Apollo, BBC2’s Mock the Week & Channel 4’s 8 out of 10 Cats, Beckett is a ‘Relentlessly smiley, perpetually grinning Londoner whose unshowy, unpretentious but thoroughly funny shtick has every chance of winning him a big audience…’ – Guardian.

Mike Wilmot’s TV work includes; Live At The Apollo (BBC1), Rich Hall’s Fishing Show/Cattle Drive (BBC4), several appearances on Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC2), the host of Comedy Blue on Paramount plus team captain on Shoot the Messenger (Paramount Comedy Channel). Mike also played Paul Kaye’s manager in the award-winning film It’s All Gone Pete Tong

The Cambridge Roar was the brain child of Tony Murdock, General Manager of the Quy Mill Hotel and Chairman of the Cambridge Roar. Tony Murdock comments, ‘We are delighted that the Roar Marquee will be back in September to host these comedy greats. We have been working in partnership with the Cambridge Live Trust for some time and together have been able to secure a spectacular comedy set for our guests and sponsors. This is certainly going to be a night to remember and a great way to see some famous faces. There are still opportunities for local businesses to sponsor the event, so if you would like to get involved then please contact the team at the Cambridge Roar.’

Standard tickets are priced at £25 for the comedy set. There are group booking deals available and a VIP package for £50 which includes a 3-course dinner at the Quy Mill hotel and spa before the live entertainment, preferential seating and priority queuing.
