Call for applications: Traineeship at the NTNU Brussels Office Autumn 2024 

The NTNU Brussels office is looking for two trainees in the autumn semester of 2024. The call is particularly relevant for students at the NTNU MA programme in Globalisation and Sustainable Developement but is open to all other qualified NTNU students interested and eligible for Erasmus traineeships. 
As a trainee at the NTNU Brussels office, you would be gaining experience through working with the Director and Head of the office Massimo Busuoli, and other staff in the office, assisting them in their work to promote and strengthen NTNU’s participation in EU funded research initiatives. Activities that you could expect to encounter include:  

• work related to future Framework Programme monitoring and other relevant EU initiatives, 
• participation in relevant meetings with proper reporting,  
• participation in working group meetings of the relevant networks where the office is part and 
• supporting in the organisation of NTNU events in Brussels 

If required, a specific task that typically involves researching on a particular topic will be assigned at the initiation of the traineeship. The trainees are expected to work independently, under the guidance of a staff member when needed. As the trainees will be part of the normal working routine of the office, further tasks and activities may – and are likely to – occur “on the spot” during the trainees assignment to the office’s staff. 
 
The traineeship corresponds to 30 ECTS in the NTNU MA in Globalisation and Sustainable Development. 
 
Duration of the traineeship 
The proposed duration of the traineeship is Mid/late August – December 2024. The trainees are expected to devote some time to meet with the previous trainees for a passage of duties. 
 
Stipend 
As a trainee with the NTNU Brussels office, you may be eligible for an Erasmus Placement grant, currently €560 per month. If students cannot access funding from Lånekassen, they may be eligible for a top up of €550 per month provided by the Brussels office.
