There is also notice of closures affecting roads linking A4 Bath Road in Slough and Burnham.

Planning:

Plans have been submitted plans to build 29 homes at the site of the old Langley Police Station in High Street.

The application, placed by Savills on behalf of Elstree Land, proposes to demolish garages at the site and convert the station building.

The new development, comprising of buildings between 2.5 and 3.5 storeys tall, would include a mixture of flats and houses.

It includes nine one-bedroom flats, 13 two bedroom-flats, two two-bedroom homes and four three-bedroom homes.

The developers have advised 31 per cent of these properties are designated as affordable homes.

In addition to the homes, there is also provision of 36 car parking spaces as well as bicycle storage.

More information on the plans can be found on the Slough Borough Council planning portal under the reference P/08979/003

A revised application to build nine homes in Farnham Royal has been lodged by DP Architects on behalf of Mackenzie Homes Ltd.

In a Design and Access statement outlining the developer’s plans for land north of Allerds Farm in Crown Lane, it says the plans include four affordable homes and a further five market properties.

The statement also advises that planning permission for an earlier draft of the plans was refused by Buckinghamshire Council in January.

This, it says, was due to concerns raised over harm to greenbelt land and increased flood risk.

In its latest application, the developer has submitted supporting documents which it argues addresses these issues.

Traffic:

Part of Huntercombe Lane North is set to close for a period in early September.

The road, which joins Stomp Road in Burnham with A4 Bath Road in Taplow, will be shut between its junction with Missenden Gardens and Clare Road for two days.

Slough Borough Council has advised the closure is needed to allow works to be carried out on or near to the road.

It will come into operation at midnight on Friday September 6 and is expected to be lifted by midnight the next day.

In Slough, a section of Station Road will be closed in August to allow road works to be completed.

The closure will prevent traffic travelling through Station Road from its junction with Iona Crescent to its A4 Bath Road junction.

Works are expected to take place from midnight on Monday August 12 to Friday August 30.
