Baroness Mone, the lingerie tycoon and Conservative peer, is to be questioned by police over allegations that she sent a racist message, it was reported last night.

She is accused of telling a man of Indian heritage that he was a “waste of a white man’s skin” during a dispute after a fatal yacht crash near Monaco in 2019.

In other WhatsApp messages she allegedly described the man’s partner as “a mental loony” and “nut case bird”. Mone, 50, has denied the claims.
