My four-year-old child and I have just become homeless (Zara*, writes). I’m disabled and even with the help of a walking aid I cannot walk for more than a couple of hundred yards at a time. I have diabetes and have to use a continuous glucose assessment monitor.

I first had to flee my home after suffering domestic abuse, which has severely affected my mental health and left me with acute depression. My child was also badly affected by witnessing my ex-partner’s violence, but has improved since attending the local nursery.
