Iraq overshadows final hours of campaigning

The war in Iraq cast a shadow over the last 48 hours of the election campaign today as relatives of British soldiers killed in action blamed Tony Blair personally for their losses.

As the estranged wife of a Coldstream Guard killed two days ago blamed the Prime Minister for his death, ten soldiers’ familes delivered a letter to 10 Downing Street to demand a public inquiry into the legality of the conflict.
