Glastonbury’s emergency teams sprang into action this morning to cope with torrential overnight rain that has turned most of the festival site into a muddy mire.

In the 24 hours since the gates opened, 97,476 people have arrived on site, with 36 arrests made so far and 27 ambulance call-outs, with 12 people taken off-site for further treatment.
