James Tavernier, the Rangers captain, has blasted the “criminal” defending which is destroying their title challenge and admitted that they are failing to react to pressure in away games.

Their prospects of winning the Ladbrokes Premiership are fading fast after a second defeat in 18 days left them ten points behind leaders Celtic. Even with a game in hand, the gap could be too much to bridge, as the champions also have a goal difference which is better by 18.
