How difficult is it to find good, high-powered careers outside the City?

London lawyers – who needs them? Although the legal trade press and the rest of the media tend to focus on the legal world in the City, there are reckoned to be 2,500 vacancies annually for trainee lawyers outside London and the South East. As Bob White, of Nottingham Law School, says: “There is a lot of leading work done in the regions, including by national firms with big offices in places such as Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and Nottingham.”
