LIVERPOOL’S Jose Enrique is set to be out until February after tearing his hamstring during the side’s victory against Queens Park Rangers.

The Spaniard was forced off while clutching his right leg midway through the second half at Loftus Road with the Reds leading 3-0, and faces an extended spell on the sidelines according to Liverpool assistant manager Colin Pascoe.

“Unfortunately it looks like he's got a tear in his hamstring,” said Pascoe, deputising for the absent Brendan Rodgers, who was told to stay away from the team after contracting norovirus. “He was terrific today, absolutely superb, and the way he's been performing these last couple of months has been a joy to watch. It's a shame, and hopefully he's not out for too long.”
