Kent threw group C of the Clydesdale Bank 40 wide open by beating Warwickshire, the leaders, by six wickets on a tricky Edgbaston pitch.

Warwickshire were dismissed for just 92, their third lowest one-day total at their home ground, and Kent won with 19.4 overs to spare after a brief wobble. The win took them level with Warwickshire but the home side still lead the table by virtue of an extra win.

Darren Stevens took four for 25 to undermine Warwickshire, who were thankful for Rikki Clarke’s 35 not out. Azhar Mahmood’s 20 not out settled Kent after they had been 54 for four.
