McDonald’s ‘reviews sites’

McDONALD’S is reviewing the future of five Central London restaurants, just days after unveiling plans to scale down its operations in the Middle East and Latin America.

The world’s largest fast-food chain has appointed Dalgleish & Co and Conway Relf, the property advisers, to value the restaurants, including those in Oxford Street, Regent Street, Haymarket, Tower Hill Vaults and Bayswater.

The restaurants are all in expensive locations, where McDonald’s already operates restaurants nearby, according to a report published in Property Week, the trade magazine, today, The group is understood to have already found a new tenant for the Oxford Street restaurant. Some, if not all, of the other restaurants could close.
