‘Millionaire’s daughter had fling with crack dealer before riots spree’

The daughter of a millionaire had a fling with a convicted crack cocaine dealer in the weeks before she embarked on a looting spree with him and two other men during the summer riots, a court heard.

Laura Johnson, 20, from Orpington in Kent, claimed she was forced to drive a getaway car by the man, who she called T-Man. She also knew him by another street name, Sylar, the prosecution claimed.

A former friend of Ms Johnson said the high-flying university student began a relationship with Sylar after flirting with him and “[coming] across as quite easy”. The man, also called Emmanuel, had recently been released from prison and had a background of drug dealing and robbery, the defence said.
