Model of cool in catwalk demo

Animal rights protesters gatecrash the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York, rushing the catwalk as the supermodel Gisele Bundchen struts her stuff for television cameras.

The four protesters — members of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta) — held up signs that read “Gisele: Fur Scum”.

The Brazilian model has become a regular Peta target since appearing in an advertising campaign for fur designers Blackglama. Seemingly unfazed by the invasion, the model completed her routine. As she walked off the ramp, security staff whisked the protesters away.

The fashion show was being taped in Manhattan for a broadcast next week by CBS. Producers retaped Bundchen’s segment after the protesters were removed.

“I’m the biggest animal lover in the world,” she said
