More people ignore pension provision

The number of people failing to save for their retirement has risen dramatically over the past year despite a series of stark warnings about pensioner poverty, according to a new study.

Just 46 per cent of workers are putting enough into their pension, compared to 55 per cent in 2005, a major new report has concluded.

In addition, the study found that the percentage of people who do not know where their main income in retirement will come from has doubled and now accounts for nearly a quarter of Britons.
