1 Sales of electric cars have surged over the past year, forcing Britain’s largest network of charging points to stop offering free power. Almost 50,000 electric or hybrid electric cars were sold in the first six months of 2016, an increase of 22 per cent on the same period last year, according to the SMMT.

2 Amazon is “blasé” to fraud, victims have claimed, brushing off those who have had accounts compromised, leaving them hundreds of pounds poorer. The company found emails and passwords posted online and said passwords may have been “improperly stored on a device or transmitted to Amazon in a way that could potentially expose you to a third party”.
