Paul Ince is unlikely to be England’s next manager but he knows a man who should be. The Notts County manager comes face to face with Steve Bruce in today’s FA Cup third-round tie at Sunderland and believes his former Manchester United team-mate has proved he has all the attributes to succeed Fabio Capello.
Ince may have had his brief managerial reign in a Barclays Premier League dugout ended when by Bruce when Blackburn Rovers lost 3-0 to Wigan Athletic two years ago, but the former England captain still has as much respect for the Sunderland manager as he has gratitude.
