Speedier deals make estate agents get appy

Now that Ireland’s proptech industry is actually a thing, more companies are springing up to create digital methods of buying, selling and renting homes. The aim of most is to make life easier for sellers, buyers, tenants and landlords, and to introduce some transparency.

Last year saw Sherry FitzGerald launch its proptech platform in the form of mySherryFitz.ie, a 24/7 online hub which allows prospective buyers to make offers and book viewings.

Hunters Estate Agent also introduced its online closing platform, which it says triples the speed of property sales.

It’s not just the big guns that are getting involved in proptech – smaller businesses are embracing it, too.
