Southern Brave gained their first victory in the men’s Hundred with three balls to spare before a near capacity crowd of 11,778. A triumph also in terms of a close finish, some classy batting from James Vince and Liam Livingstone and the rain not spoiling proceedings. There were a couple of pitch invaders and the match overran by 28 minutes, but no matter. Spectators went home sated.
