Err Nerr, can’t believe it! It seems as if I have suddenly become one of Europe’s sexiest men. Last week, the Hollywood actor Timothée Chalamet, busy promoting his new film Wonka, was asked which accents he considered “sexy” during an online interview. The Dune and Call Me By Your Name actor didn’t hesitate. “I like Hull,” he said.

This caused loud mirth in the studio. “Why’s everyone cracking up?” said the actor. “Hull is sexy.’

Chalamet added that the “middle-aged northern accent” was also sexy. So, what with me being from Hull and northern and middle-aged and now Hollywood-endorsed, this little chucky egg is right made-up, I’ll tell ya.
