Arsenal have made contact with Inter Milan to sign their Croatian winger Ivan Perisic on loan for the remainder of the season, with an option to buy him for £35m in the summer, according to the BBC. The 29-year-old, who was a target of former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho last summer, signed a new five-year deal with the Serie A club in 2017. The former Borussia Dortmund player, who signed for Inter from Wolfsburg in 2015, has scored 34 goals in 142 matches for the Italian club. Perisic scored the equaliser and then set up the extra-time winner for Croatia in their 2-1 defeat of England in last summer’s World Cup semi-final.
