Despite being less than two days old, the Princess of Cambridge has met more members of the royal family in an afternoon than most will in their lifetime.
The world’s most famous baby was today introduced to her grandfather, the Prince of Wales, who looked delighted as he drove away from Kensington Palace in an Audi estate car accompanied by the Duchess of Cornwall.
The little princess also met her maternal grandparents, Michael and Carole Middleton, and auntie Pippa, for the first time.
Prince Harry, who is in Australia on attachment with the country’s armed forces, described the baby as “absolutely beautiful” and said he could not wait to meet her, in a statement from Kensington Palace.
