Ronald and Libby Kitt have been visiting Victoria Park in Liverpool for over 40 years, but now despair at the dilapidated condition of the once-grand pavilion that formed its centrepiece.

Victoria Park itself is believed to have been constructed at the turn of the last century and has facilities for tennis, football and bowling sprinkled throughout a beautiful wooded area. However its two-room pavilion has suffered the ravages of time.

“I would like nothing better than to see it restored to its former glory,” says Ronald, 68. “It’s actually a beautiful structure, with an open front and V-shaped gable but it’s become a target for vandals
