Taskmaster’s Alex Horne: ‘My family are funnier than any comedian’

I road-tested the Bafta-winning show’s new virtual reality game with its mastermind. How much fun is that?

‘I might pick up a knife and throw it as I don’t get to do that very often,” Alex Horne says before hurling one at me. We’re at the Taskmaster house in Chiswick, which serves as a location for the Bafta award-winning comedy game show that Horne co-presents with Greg Davies. Ten minutes earlier I got a buzz as I walked through the front gates, barely able to contain my inner fanboy.

We begin by standing in a small room with white flooring and walls draped in plastic sheets.
