James Andrews – Editor, Times Money Mentor

James has more than 20 years’ experience writing and editing personal finance news, specialising in consumer rights, pensions, insurance, property and investments – picking up a series of awards for his journalism along the way. His past roles include money editor for Mirror Online, editor of Yahoo Finance UK and content editor at MSN Money and he has been a regular contributor to national radio shows including TalkRadio and the BBC World Service on money matters.

Katie Binns – Deputy editor, Times Money Mentor  

Katie is a long-time contributor to The Sunday Times where she started on the Irish desk in 2012. An award-winning journalist who has written for national newspapers and magazines, she writes on everything from pensions and mortgages to dog costs and financial abuse. Georgie Frost – Editor-at-large, Times Money Mentor

After a decade as an award-winning sports broadcaster, Georgie moved across to money in 2014, presenting her own daily finance talk show and winning financial broadcast journalist of the year shortly after. Georgie is a regular on the BBC, ITV, Times Radio and talkTV, and hosts a number of popular podcasts where she chats about money, businesses and sport. Most weekends you will find Georgie on the terraces at Pride Park where she is a Derby County season ticket holder or out running (slowly) for medals. Stephanie Lake – Senior social media and video journalist, Times Money Mentor

Stephanie has been with Times Money Mentor for a few years, with a background in the travel industry and e-commerce. She loves breaking down complex stories in a visual way on social media and is passionate about our mission to demystify money. Martyn James – Columnist, Times Money Mentor

Martyn James is consumer rights expert and campaigner with over two decades of experience in everything from pet insurance to parking tickets. As a broadcaster and presenter, he appears on all the national television channels and is a regular guest and presenter on Rip Off Britain, Morning Live, Steph’s Packed Lunch and The One Show, as well as commentating on breaking stories for the news channels and bulletins. As a journalist, he has written for all the national newspapers and regularly features in the news. Outside of his consumer rights and campaign work, he’s a consummate gig-goer, loves the theatre and likes the Eurovision Song Contest far more than is healthy. 

Michael Brown – Writer, Times Money Mentor

Michael joined the Times Money Mentor in 2023 after holding several different editorial positions at Moneyfacts. Before this, he started his career as a financial journalist and junior lecturer in South Africa, where he grew up. Michael writes on a number of different topics from banking to tax rules. Orla Loughran Hayes – Writer, Times Money Mentor

Orla has written for MailOnline, The Express, and The Mirror. She has a commerce journalism background, with expertise in a range of lifestyle topics from personal finance to beauty and food.
