The new world heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois dubbed himself the “king slayer” as he looked ahead to September’s all-British duel with Anthony Joshua in front of an anticipated 90,000 people at Wembley Stadium.
Dubois, 26, was officially installed as the IBF champion after Oleksandr Usyk vacated the belt to concentrate on his megabucks rematch with Tyson Fury.
The Briton will get to win the belt in the ring, and so shed any “paper champion” barbs, when he takes on Joshua on September 21.
