David Cameron

David Cameron was appointed foreign secretary by Rishi Sunak in November 2023, becoming the first former prime minister to return to cabinet in 60 years. He was prime minister from 2010 until his resignation when the UK voted to leave the EU in 2016. He served as MP for Witney from 2001 to 2016 and will have to be given a peerage to take up the role of foreign secretary. He served as leader of the Conservative Party from 2005 to 2016. Born in 1966, he attended Eton College and read PPE (philosophy, politics and economics) at Oxford.
