Holocaust

The Holocaust was the systematic genocide of 11 million people including six million Jews by Adolf Hitler's Nazi Party during the Second World War. Two thirds of the European Jewish population were murdered, largely at concentration and death camps such as Auschwitz, Sobibor and Buchenwald. Each year on January 27 in the UK the victims are commemorated on Holocaust Memorial Day
