Jermain Defoe

Jermain Defoe is an English football coach and former professional football player. He coaches the under-18s team at Tottenham Hotspur. Defoe’s career began at the age of 14 with Charlton Athletic’s youth team. He went on to play for West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur, Portsmouth, Toronto FC, Sunderland, Bournemouth and Rangers. He announced his retirement from professional football in 2022. In November 2023, The Times revealed that Defoe, Daniel Levy and Harry Redknapp dealt with an unlicensed agent during discussions regarding Defoe’s transfer from Tottenham to Portsmouth in 2008, breaching FA regulations.
