Rwanda

Rwanda, officially the Republic of Rwanda, is a country in east Africa with a population of about 13.5 million. It has been ruled by the Rwandan Patriotic Front since the end of civil war in 1994, and has been led by President Kagame since 2000. In April 2022 the British government proposed the Rwanda asylum plan, a scheme intended to deter illegal immigrants or asylum seekers by relocating them to Rwanda for resettlement.
