Suella Braverman

Suella Braverman was sacked as home secretary by Rishi Sunak in November 2023. Her departure from cabinet came after she clashed with the prime minister over a number of issues including her comments about homelessness being a “lifestyle choice” and her critical article of the police in The Times. Braverman had been sacked as home secretary by Liz Truss in 2022 after she sent a sensitive official document from her personal email address to an MP – in what was a breach of the ministerial rules. Born in 1980, she grew up in northwest London and read law at Cambridge.
