Labour has a 20-point lead over the Conservatives, a poll of polls compiled by The Times data team suggests.

A day before the general election, current polls suggest Sir Keir Starmer’s party is on course for a large majority. Barring a historic turnaround — or substantial polling error — the Conservatives face a 1997-style wipeout.

The Times continues combining voting intention data from more than a dozen pollsters to produce a clear picture of how each party is being received by the public.
