President Biden was cloistered at Camp David with his family on Sunday amid the continuing fallout from his debate performance and signs that a growing number of Americans think he is unfit to hold office.

Nearly three quarters of voters think that Biden lacks the “mental and cognitive health” to serve as president, according to a YouGov poll for CBS News.

The poll was conducted in the 48 hours after Biden’s tottering performance on a debate stage in Atlanta as his campaign fought to reassure donors and the president himself offered more energetic speeches at a rally in North Carolina and at fundraising events in New Jersey and New York.
