Irene Haracz celebrates 100 years
NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. -- Five generations of the Haracz family came from all over to celebrate a very special day at Preswick Glen Retirement Community Saturday.

A former teacher, she taught junior high math and science at Kemble school in Utica and spent 17 years as a pro golf scorer. Now a great-great grandmother, she enjoys spending as much time possible with her family.
So, what's the secret to Irene's longevity?
"I hope I lived right," says Irene. "I don't know, I didn't do anything special. I came from a long-lived family I think".
The one thing Irene says she's looking forward to doing most after all the celebrating is done, is going home, and taking a nap.
