The shooting happened in the Fort Bayou neighborhood.

Andray is accused of shooting at least once at his neighbor’s party.

Police Chief Ryan Lemaire reported seven injuries, including children. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

Andray did not attend the party, the police chief said, and the 68-year-old did not provide a motive.

Police charged him with four counts of aggravated assault but more charges are possible.

Birdshot is a type of shotgun cartridge filled with dozens of small pellets and is primarily used to hunt fowl.
