A quick round up of what's new this week on BBC iPlayer, programmes that are about to become unavailable, plus some hidden gems you might have missed.

Strictly Come Dancing
Back to deliver a dose of much-needed sparkle to the nation, the highly-anticipated 18th series of Strictly Come Dancing makes a triumphant return to BBC One. Begins on BBC iPlayer Saturday 17 October.

Roadkill
Political drama following Peter Laurce, a charismatic politician positioned as Minister for Transport. With Peter’s enemies closing in, will he be able to cope with the pressure? Full series arrives on BBC iPlayer Sunday 18 October.

Out Of Her Mind
A brand new six-part comedy by Sara Pascoe, exploring heartbreak, family and how to survive them. Full series box set available from Tuesday 20 October.

Harlots
Sex sells like nothing else in grimy, decadent Georgian London. Madames and businesswomen Margaret and Lydia are at war for the passions, and purses, of London's finest gentlemen. Series 3 available as a box set Wednesday 21 October, Series 1 & 2 available now.

The Rap Game UK
The Rap Game UK is back for series two. Six artists from across the UK travel to Birmingham to compete against each other for the chance to sign a single record deal. Series 2 starts on Thursday 22 October at 7pm.

Collateral
When a pizza delivery driver is shot dead in south London, a tenacious detective goes after the people traffickers behind his murder and unravels a conspiracy that goes to the top. Series available to stream as a box set from Monday 19 October.

Life
Four people, one building, many lives. When life happens, you just have to deal with it. From the world of Doctor Foster. Series 1 available as a box set on iPlayer now.

Still Game
A comedy in which lifelong friends find themselves coping with everything that modern life has to throw at them. Series 1 to 9 available as a box set on iPlayer now.

Michael Palin: Around The World In 80 Days and more
Actor and writer Michael Palin takes up the challenge to circumnavigate the globe by land and sea. Plus, Pole to Pole and Hemingway Adventure available - celebrating his new series Travels Of A Lifetime. Box sets on iPlayer now.

The Babadook
A single mother, plagued by the violent death of her husband, battles with her son's fear of a monster lurking in the house, but soon discovers a sinister presence all around her. Streaming on iPlayer from Sunday, 18 October.

In The Heat Of The Night
A 1967 American mystery drama directed by Norman Jewison, telling the story of Virgil Tibbs, a black police detective from Philadelphia. Streaming on iPlayer from Saturday, 17 October.

The Shining
Writer Jack Torrance takes the job of caretaker at a remote hotel, but his wife and young son soon find that the place has a horrific history that is encroaching on the present. Streaming on iPlayer from Saturday, 17 October

I Am Not Your Negro
Narrated entirely in the words of James Baldwin, this film touches on the lives and assassinations of Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr and Medgar Evers. The film brings powerful clarity to how the images and reality of black lives in America are fabricated and enforced. Streaming on iPlayer from Tuesday, 20 October.

I, Tonya
Seeking figure-skating success, Tonya Harding instead finds notoriety in this darkly comic recreation of a sporting scandal. Featuring a multi-award-winning performance from Allison Janney. Available until Monday 19 October.

Jimi Hendrix: The Road To Woodstock
The definitive documentary record of one of Jimi Hendrix's most celebrated performances, featuring action from the Woodstock stage and interviews with his band members. Box set available on iPlayer until Monday 19 October.

The Real Doctor Zhivago
