Air Canada flew a larger aircraft to Jamaica to bring Canadians home after Hurricane Beryl. With more cargo space available, they reached out to see if we had aid to send with them. We sent 720 Family Emergency Kits with household water purification units, hygiene items and solar lights and 720 Emergency Food Kits to the airport and Air Canada flew them to Montego Bay this morning. We are so grateful for our ongoing partnership with Air Canada & Air Canada Cargo who continue to help us deliver the right aid to the right people at the right time. www.globalmedic.ca/donate

Le 20 juin, certains de nos collègues se sont joints à l’équipe de l’incroyable documentaire RHINO MAN dans le cadre de sa première canadienne au TIFF Bell Lightbox de Toronto.   RHINO MAN met de l’avant les luttes et les triomphes des gardes terrestres Anton Mzimba, Leitah Mkhabela et Orlat Ndlovu, ainsi que de leurs entraîneurs Ruben et Marianne de Kock. Le film met également en lumière le mouvement mondial qui soutient leur travail essentiel pour empêcher l’extinction des rhinocéros.   En tant qu’entreprise, nous sommes fiers de partager l’engagement des gardes terrestres à protéger les rhinocéros et autres espèces sauvages menacées. On June 20th, some of our colleagues joined the team behind the incredible documentary film "RHINO MAN" for its Canadian premiere at the TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto.   "RHINO MAN" highlights the struggles and triumphs of field rangers Anton Mzimba, Leitah Mkhabela and Orlat Ndlovu alongside their field trainers Ruben and Marianne de Kock. The film also shines a light on the global movement supporting their critical work in preventing rhino extinction.   As an organization, we are proud to share the rangers' commitment to protecting rhinos and other endangered wildlife. By having a zero-tolerance policy on carrying endangered species, hunting trophies or any product associated with illegal wildlife activities, our fight against wildlife crime has long been part of our environmental and sustainability commitment.   Watch "RHINO MAN" onboard your next Air Canada flight to learn more about this critical issue.

Today marks Airport Workers Day, a day to honour the incredible individuals who are so vital to Canada's aviation industry. We proudly celebrate the hard work and dedication of our teams at the airports across Canada who support our operations. A special mention goes to Alistair Stewart, Manager of Safety Compliance at Air Canada. Alistair is this year's recipient of the inaugural Industry Champion Award awarded by Canadian Airports Council | Conseil des aéroports du Canada. This notable honour recognizes his outstanding contributions to our operations and safety standards, ensuring that safety is the first and foremost priority in everything we do. Alistair has celebrated 40 years of service with Air Canada. He is a past recipient of Air Canada’s Award of Excellence, a program that recognizes a select group of exceptional individuals who consistently demonstrate behaviours that distinguish them as role models for their teammates.
