File:Aquitania scrap Faslane.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Angelgreat (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Non-free image of a ship being scrapped. That the ship was scrapped is adequately described with text, and there is no significant sourced commentary about the image. Fails WP:NFCC#1 and WP:NFCC#8. Whpq (talk) 02:12, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep: The image is one of the few remaining images of her. The source of the image comes from the same source as the File:Aquitania in her twilight years.jpg and shares the same copyright info with those images. Please do not delete them. Angelgreat (talk) 02:34, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete: As pointed out by the nominator, there are quite a number of free images of the ship found in c:Category:Aquitania (ship, 1914) and a number of these are actually being used in RMS Aquitania which means a non-free one isn't really needed for identification purposes. Moreover, there doesn't really seem to be a contextual need for an non-free photo of the ship as she looked upon scapping per WP:NFCC#8 (WP:NFC#CS) unless there's something about the photo itself which became the subject of critical commentary in reliable sources either at the time or in the years sine then that can be added to the article. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:43, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • The photo shows the end of the last four funnel liner and how her hull was repainted prior to.her final voyage. The image will only be used in the page that depicts the vessel, so please do not delete it.Angelgreat (talk) 13:22, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete The image itself is not the subject of cited critical commentary. There's plenty of other images of her, and a non-descript image during her scrapping is of no particular use that, as Whpq noted, can't be described in text. She was scrapped. We know that. An image of her during scrapping doesn't help explain that. --Hammersoft (talk) 22:49, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Source does not appear legitimate. UK copyright applies unless prior to 1911. I see nothing particularly encyclopedic about this unless it is describing something noteworthy that we're missing. Buffs (talk) 15:07, 18 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as argued above. The image is too grainy to show her late career livery. There are images of the ship in her better days as the Ship Beautiful. Scrapping is the ultimate fate of almost all ships. Blue Riband► 04:24, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, the article already contains plenty of free images, so clearly fails NFCC #1. Seraphimblade Talk to me 05:50, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

File:HelenaBrewersCapLogo.PNG (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by NatureBoyMD (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Was part of an overly bundled discussion several months ago that closed as a trainwreck. While I think cap logos can serve as a means of primary identification, the only difference between this logo and the main one is that the colors of the background and the H are swapped. With no separate commentary over the cap logo, I'm concerned that it's too similar to the primary logo to meet NFCC. Hog Farm Talk 05:58, 3 August 2021 (UTC)don't really justify us[reply]

  • Delete one of the two, but not exactly quite sure which one. As pointed out by the nominator, two of basically the same non-free file aren't really needed per WP:NFCC#3a and the minor differences between the two per don't really justify using them both per WP:NFCC#3a. The question then is which of the two is the one that should be kept. The team's official website (at least the link in Helena Brewers#External links) seems to be redirect to another website for the new incarnation of the team, but an old 2011 archived version seen here seems to show only the team logo (but that just could be a quirk of the archiving). Personally, I think the white "H" on the dark blue background is a bit easier on the eyes than the dark blue "H" on the white background; so, all other things being equal, I would suggest keeping the cap logo and deleting the team logo. That's just my personal opinion though and not related to the WP:NFCC in any way. -- Marchjuly (talk) 13:20, 3 August 2021 (UTC); [Note: !Vote edited by Marchjuly to cleanup and clarify the wording a bit. File:Fire Extinguishing Trades Association FETA logo.png (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Pbrks (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

This is used on Fire Industry Association#History. This probably doesn't meet WP:NFCC#8, however, as the organization was founded in 1916 it's possible this logo was published before 1926. If this could be proven to be the case, it would be eligible for {{PD-USonly}}. I tried searching for it myself but personally wasn't able to date this logo at all. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 07:41, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete unless a pre-1926 publication date can be verified. The nonfree rationale states that the image is for use in the infobox, but the current logo is now used there, so older logos are redundant and unnecessary. Seraphimblade Talk to me 05:52, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

File:ACS Viitorul Șelimbăr logo.png (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Rhinen (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Licensed as {{PD-textlogo}}, but this logo is clearly complex enough to be subject to copyright. Converting to fair use would not address the matter as it is not being used in the CSC 1599 Șelimbăr infobox, but in its history section. Such use of non-free items would not comply with WP:NFCC, particularly WP:NFC##cite_note-4: "The use of historical logos for an entity is not allowed, unless the historical logo itself is described in the context of critical commentary about that historical logo." The only option is to delete. plicit 14:36, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
