Sunil Pal disappointed with Sonakshi Sinha for not inviting her father Shatrughan Sinha to her wedding with Zaheer Iqbal: 'Sona, tumse yeh ummeed nahin thi'

Sonakshi Sinha is all set to tie the knot with her boyfriend, Zaheer Iqbal. According to reports, the couple will have a registered court marriage on June 23. However, this happy news has come as a surprise to many, including Sonakshi’s father, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha, who has expressed that he is unaware of his daughter’s wedding plans. Comedian Sunil Pal has now expressed his disappointment with Sonakshi for allegedly not involving her parents in her wedding.

In a video message, Sunil remarked, "This may be breaking news for friends, but for Shatrughan Sinha, this is heart-breaking news. Unhone zindagi bhar 'aaj mere yaar ki shaadi hai' gaana gaya hai. But he wasn't even aware of his own daughter's wedding. Sona, tumse yeh ummeed nahin thi (I hadn't expected this from you, Sonakshi.) If you had called your father to your wedding, he would have definitely come."

When ETimes reached out to Shatrughan Sinha for a comment, he said, “Her happiness is our happiness, she is the apple of our eyes. Our blessings are always with her.” Meanwhile, Sonakshi’s brother Luv Sinha chose to remain silent on the wedding rumors, stating that he has no involvement in the matter.
Media reports indicate that invitations have been sent on behalf of the couple to their close friends and family. The invitation does not detail any elaborate wedding ceremony but mentions a celebration of their union. The dress code for the wedding is formal and festive, with the celebrations set to take place at Bastian - At The Top restaurant in the Dadar area of Mumbai.

Sonakshi and Zaheer have reportedly been living together for a year. They are said to have met at a party hosted by Salman Khan and quickly developed a strong bond. Both actors began their careers in cinema with Salman Khan Productions; Sonakshi made her debut in 2010 with Dabangg, while Zaheer made his debut in the 2019 film Notebook. Despite the public speculation, the couple has remained tight-lipped about their relationship and their impending nuptials.
