‘Kota Factory 3’ spoke about the lives of students who aspire to crack the JEE to get into the IIT. Talking to India Today, the actor opened up coming across one such incident where his junior died by suicide on the first day of college.
Jitendra weighed in on the kind of pressure the junior might have gone through, as the young boy came to Kharagpur, however he wanted to go to IIT Delhi.
Due to a lower rank, he couldn’t get to Delhi, and was forced to join Kharagpur. “Imagine the kind of pressure he was under just to fulfill these shallow expectations,” he said. Jitendra shared that all those ended on a tragic note.

He also spoke about how IIT Kharagpur changed after that tragic incident. It opened the eyes of the authorities, and how they made sure the students interact with each other. The ‘Kota Factory 3’ actor reminisced that there weren't any hangout spots or activities to do, and as the students had no option but to only sit in front of computers, the authorities cut electricity between 8 to 10 PM, which compelled the students to get out of their rooms and mingle. He recalled how it became a mandate. “I think we have reached that level where it's really important to take action to help save young lives,” he said.
