Administrator access

Snooker@lt.wikibooks

I am sysop in lt.wikipedia project. I came up with the fact that lt.wikibooks project is very abandoned, 3 sysops available are not active, busy with other projects, the project lacks in any simple order, it's being attacked by vandals. Due to the small number of users in lt.wikibooks it's impossible to have even some kind of small vote. I request sysop rights in this project. Thank you in advance. 193.219.94.176 14:39, 6 June 2010 (UTC)

Not done for IP. Please log in with a username.--Jusjih 20:49, 6 June 2010 (UTC)

ssr@ruwikinews

Please consider giving Ssr sysop status per the discussion linked to above. The request has been open for almost two weeks now; there are only three supports, but that should be enough in this case as there is practically nobody editing there actively. Thanks - Tempodivalse [talk] 01:48, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

Granted temporarily for half a year; expires December 5. - Andre Engels 17:27, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

Gaeser@abwiki

Hello, can you please grant me admin rights on this wiki once again? This time for a week or two. The situation hasn't changed since this request, but if necessary local administrator, Temur, will support this request. Regards, --George M. 19:31, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

Done approved for two weeks - expires 28th June, 2010. --Jyothis 19:49, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

Diego Grez return fire 01:22, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Unless there is an emergency, I'd like to wait a week to allow community input. Might as well make status permanent if we wait a week. --Daniel Mayer (mav) 23:21, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
Okay. --Diego Grez return fire 01:31, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
Comment Comment Although it may appear that the boy tries to help, not long ago he was locked in more/less half of the projects, plus, this wasn´t long ago. The global rename, seems more like an strategy to cover the past and hide the problems he was involved on, clearly not an attempt to redeem himself. The search for flags in certain wikis without much contributions (and therefore vandalism), doesn't help the project, really seems more like a pray to gain any kind of global status in order to achieve a reduction and/or forget the locks that he currently has on en@wiki and es@wiki. Saloca 08:03, 16 June 2010 (UTC). P.S. Vandalism? Wich one?. Saloca 08:07, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
Comment Comment He claims that knows inusual languages as chamorro or in this case, aymara. But the really he has a several problem with the grammar of these languages, perhaps uses a computer translator. And also, the history of Diego Grez (previously MisterWiki) is for a serious analysis. --Taichi - (あ!) 08:08, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
Comment Comment BTW, skin doesn't means máscara, means piel, we're fixing something he should know as a near native speaker and if he's gonna play like this. Saloca 08:28, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

Demmy@yo.wikipedia.org

I am requesting an extension to my adminship which expires today. Thanks Demmy 14:19, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

It's the nth request of an extension by Demmy. He's trusted by the local community and long time experienced. I think we could grant him a permanent access, any different opinion?--Nick1915 - all you want 10:51, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
Any development??? Maybe you can grant a temporary adminship while you decide. I am the only active admin and there are sysop duties to perform in the mean time. Thanks Demmy 17:00, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

Al Silonov@be.wiktionary

My temporary admin's status has expired, so now there are no admins in that Wiktionary. There are only a couple of active users there, since June 8th all of them have voted suport (against - 0). Al Silonov 15:15, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

Well, I've had some slight suspicion that nobody cares about be:Wiktionary, but I could not imagine the degree of that indifference. Indeed, nobody gives a damn - nor Belorussians themselves (the only 3 active users there are from Russia or from Portugal - and the same users took part in voting for my adminship), nor the stewards here - I posted my request on 17 June and within 5 days nobody stirred to react. Now, this is really impressive! --Al Silonov 07:58, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

Done. Thank you for your patience. --Mercy 08:52, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

On hold for further discussions. --Jyothis 13:00, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

This request is Not done, due to the request requiring at least 75% voter approval, and a CheckUser conducted because of oppose-reasons, confirming enough users as sockpuppets of eachother to not meet the minimum requirement. Laaknor 13:25, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
I'm having 75% voter approval, 12 supports, 4 oppose. please recheck this issue? -- බිඟුවා සාකච්ඡාව 14:25, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
At least 6 of the supporters where confirmed sockpuppets, so the 75% voter approval-requirement is not met. Laaknor 15:20, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

Innv

This user turned out to be a bad-faith social experiment on how much power can a sockpuppet of banned user gain. Needs to be revoked of all priveleges and probably locked. vvvt 17:46, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

I think we need a little more information than this. Removing all rights across all wikis (where most of the wikis are big wikis with their own desysop-policies) would be against policies... Could you post more information here, or email me or another steward with more information so that we could take a look at the situation? Laaknor 21:01, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
Has Innv been notified of this request? Also, is this really the proper venue for this type of discussion? Tiptoety talk 19:54, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
There is indeed not much to do across-the-board, but a review of global sysop-rights is warranted. Seb az86556 01:09, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
I will note that [16] states any Steward may remove a users GS flag if they feel the tool has been misused. That said, I am not sure there has been any evidence that the GS tool specifically has been abused or misused. I feel that the other option listed, a request for comment, would be a more appropriate venue. Tiptoety talk 01:21, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
Well, first of all, I asked. Seb az86556 01:23, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
When you give me the chance to note something: user Innv is working and involved on more projects with some rights, just like on sourceswiki where I am admin and would like to know something precise; the first ominous notice in this chapter above is very irritating because it says nothing but too much. Either it should be cleared or deleted here. Thanks. -jkb- 16:20, 29 June 2010 (UTC)

Well, if you consider, that behaving like this will be better for the project, so let it be so. My main aim will be bringing the project to life back. I hope I'll be able to do this. P.S. Because sometimes I need to edit the MediaWiki and I can not because I am not admin. In the Abkhazian Wikipedia to do very much. I began translating in Betawiki, I want to connect the Abkhazian speaking people. I think we need to block some of the pages, some erase, because poem or silly not needed. People come under the hidden IP and proofread and contaminating debris on Wikipedia. Sometimes sorry for this project, because write silly, without neutrality, addressing various conflict issues. I hope you all also take into account. Thank you:) -Temuri 18:17, 14 March 2010 (UTC)

Ikatz@euwiktionary

Hello, I'm Ikatz. I am the most active user of the Basque wiktionary and I want to be administrator. Now there are two administrators, but one of them never accesses to wiktionary and the second adminstrator accesses a little bit. Sometimes when there is vandalism, often spend days or even weeks before they are deleted and punished. Moreover, in the Basque wiktionary there are many things to do but some of them I can not do because I am not an administrator. I have not presented at the cafe to be adminstrator because there are only the second manager mentioned above and me. Besides the second administrator is who recommended me introduce myself just to administrator and I thought it wouldn't be necessary to vote in the cafe because it has already offered their support. Forgive me for my bad English. Thanks. --EH-Ikatz answer here 22:59, 4 December 2009 (UTC)

Please do go to your local discussion area and mention that you'd like to help out. As per a similar situation involving the user Bengoa on the same project, I'm applying parity and emulating Birdy's decision on that case, from July 25, 2009: adminship is granted for six months, expiring June 15, 2010, with the possibility of conversion to permanent adminship provided a minimum community input can be secured by then.
