Comment Although I cannot be considered an active contributor on la.wikibooks, I visit recentchanges there regularly in order to view new contributions and to watch out for vandalism. I am admin on la.wikipedia and I used to be temporary admin on la.wikibooks for some time.

While expansion of content (in good Latin) would be most welcome on la.wikibooks, I fail to see in what way adminship would facilitate this. --UV 20:50, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

There was some discussion on the admins' noticeboard, although I'm not sure it counts as local consensus for desysopping since there was only one person who proposed that. Supporting the desysop-request doesn't matter; you need to discuss it locally on ruwikinews, not here. The ruwikinews community needs to remove the rights, stewards only act on what ruwikinews decides, but the ruwikinews isn't on meta, they're on ruwikinews. I think Alex's judgement and decision was and is correct. The community, which is indeed not very large at pdcwiki, had three weeks to comment or oppose (announcement was made on main page). Sadly the only vote was from me, the current admin. However a re-election is compulsory on this wiki. Please have a look at the preconditions for adminstatus, too. Thus I do not see any problems. Taking also into consideration that stewards have the power to stop misuse right away at any time it occurs, makes the risk of misuse even smaller. Apart from that, I think that it is better to have two admins on this wiki than just one. A compromise I see at this stage is that he gets temporary adminstatus for three months which is then automatically transferred into permanent adminstatus thereafter. As there currently aren't any active administrators on Danish Wikisource, I'm applying for administrator status to be able do some regular maintenance work and update some mediawiki-pages for the proofread-page extension. That's OK, you should leave the local request open for a week to gauge community consensus. I'm, notwithstanding, pointing out that if you want to do translations of the MediaWiki namespace you should do that on translatewiki:, so that they will be avalaible on Wikimedia-wide projects. Translatewiki is nice but there are some pages that I won't be able to get to through there.
While there is one local bureaucrat, da:s:User:Christian S, he hasn't edited since mid-2007 and there are several requests for crat activity on his talk page dating back to 2008 that he still hasn't reacted to, so I figured I might as well ask here first. I would ask the Stewards to be generous in granting admintools to minor Wikisource-projects which use the Proofread Page-extension. There is a lot of maintenance, which only can be done by an admin, connected with this extension. You often have to do supressredirect-moves as an example... -- Lavallen 18:09, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
